I often wonder who will read these posts. I sit at home recovering from ankle surgery wishing I was at the office with my patients. Like a sudden severe asthma attack abruptly stopping my breathing, I am forced to be at home with my thoughts and contemplate. I recommend all physicians become patients to truly understand healing. I am confident by following these three steps that I will recover fully and return quickly. First, I will continue to eat healthy food especially antioxidant rich food, high fiber and limit sugar. Second, I will not neglect my non-injured body and start with simple stretching. Lastly, I will use this pause from my practice to exercise my brain. I plan to read books, listen to music and complete puzzles. I know this advice is universal and can benefit all. Hope to return soon!
